After graduating from the University of Reading with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Nikita Hayden went on to gain a Master of Science with distinction in Education, Power and Social Change at Birkbeck College. Following this, she is currently an Education and Psychology PhD candidate at the University of Warwick. This is an ESRC funded studentship in collaboration with the charity Sibs. Nikita’s research aims to explore the educational and psychological outcomes of siblings of children with intellectual disability or autism. Nikita also has experience in education, widening participation and in the charity sector.
Nikita’s academic career illustrates the ways in which a law degree can be transferable to various exciting subject areas beyond traditional legal roles. Subsequently, she will be speaking about alternative career routes for law graduates
